Candace Marie Greenley

Candace Marie Greenley, 77, of Fairfield, Iowa, passed away quickly and painlessly at her home in late June this year. Surviving Candace are her husband, Dennis and daughter, Erin. I, Erin, am writing this announcement with a heart overflowing with love and admiration for a woman who helped so many people through various stages of their lives...including mine. She was a dedicated and memorable teacher for over 20 years helping her students grow into who they are now. After being given a second chance at life, she coached a group of water fitness friends, who greatly appreciated her commitment to health and well-being. My mother was a lifetime learner and educator no matter what she did. So many people benefited from her thoughtful and supportive leadership and those who helped her learn, became her good friends. Her kind and friendly personality is what we all will miss the most. For my father and I, we will miss her abundant support and unconditional love. A few of her mantras that I wanted to share are "There is nothing more important than you feel good" and "You are joy looking for a way to express it" and a staple reminder to "Chill Baby, Chill". I'm smiling at that right now. My mother was the best mother anyone could hope for and my best friend. With tears of joy for her new cosmic adventure, I know she will be with me always and in all ways. A huge "Thank You!" for her first responders who managed the tough moments with knowledge, skill, timeliness and compassion.

No funeral services will be held as per her wishes. I will reconnect her with the ocean on my next adventure.
