Duke Henry

"Duke" Duane W. Henry passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. As were his wishes, his body has been cremated with no services planned at this time. Duane W. Henry, known as Duke, was born on September 29, 1942 in Bonaparte, IA to Darrell W. and Viola P Riedel Henry. He attended school in Keosauqua before entering the workforce at a young age. Duke worked several different places throughout his life including the Keosauqua Sale Barn, Key Wash, Shell Gas, and constructions. He eventually settled at Dexter in Fairfield where he was a dedicated employee and member of the IAM for over 30 years. In May of 2005, Duke was united in marriage to Doris Simmons in Las Vegas, NV. Over the next 16 years they enjoyed their time spent together. Duke was always working on something but did enjoy taking the occasional break to attend shows in Branson with Doris. His presence will be missed by his family and many friends.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Henry and a sister, Donna Miller.

Left to honor his memory is his loving wife, Doris of Cantril, IA; three sons, Kevin Henry of Wayland, IA, and Mark and David Henry both of TX; two stepchildren, Billy Joe Hall of Fordland, MO and Betty Jean Hall of Springfield, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and a host of friends.
