Marvin Callen

Fairfield Marvin H. Callen, age 91 of Fairfield and formerly of Prairie City, Iowa Died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. He was born May 11, 1923 at Melrose in Monroe County, Iowa, the son of John Norris and Eva Mc Cabe Callen. Marvin married Judy Hanawalt in Colfax, Iowa. He was a famer and worked at Maytag in Newton, Iowa. He has lived in Monroe County, and Prairie City before moving to Fairfield 6 years ago. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Clyde and Lloyd Callen and a half-sister Laura Holtom. Surviving are his wife Judy of Ottumwa, several nephews and nieces including David Callen and his wife Judy of Fairfield, Evelyn Mc Croy and husband Eugene of Ottumwa and Eugene Callen and wife Thelma of Albia. Cremation has been accorded and burial of cremains will be at a later date in Prairie City. Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
