Ruby E (Reisch) Kisling Obituary (1921

Ruby E. Kisling, 94, of Cantril died at 4:25 P.M. Saturday March 19, 2016 at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. She was born November 10, 1921 near Troy, Iowa to Joseph and Emma Bales Reisch. She married Wayne E. Kisling on June 22, 1942 in Victoria, TX; Wayne died in December, 1977. Ruby graduated from Cantril High School, was a homemaker and worked many years at Fairfield Glove Co., Bonaparte. She was an active member of Cantril United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and enjoyed quilting, gardening, yard work and visiting with family. Surviving are a son, Gary Kisling (Susan) of Wadsworth, OH, a daughter, Joyce Sunde of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren, Andrea Abernathey, Julie Hackenberg and Lisa Kisling, seven great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Hazel Reisch of Cantril, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Sunde and two brothers, Francis and Ivan Reisch. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday March 23, 2016 at Cantril United Methodist Church with Pastor Donna Olinger officiating. Visitation will open at 3 P.M. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with family present 5-7 P.M. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Bloomfield. Memorials to Cantril United Methodist Church or Cantril Grass Roots may be left at the funeral home or church or mailed to the family at 5766 Underwood Avenue, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404
