Russell Duane Weir

Russell Duane Weir, 35, of rural Eldon, IA departed this life on Friday, May 23, 2025. His greatest love was taking care of his children, Ainslee, Hayden, and Silas. Russell enjoyed playing his guitar and rebuilding guitars. Russell farmed with his dad on the Weir Farms.

Russell was born on December 30, 1989, to David and Patty Weir who will greatly miss their only son. He is also survived by his two sisters, Kassy (Jordan) Wein and Amanda Weir (John Dye).

He leaves behind nieces, Nori Wein, Delilah Dye and Annie Dye and his nephews, Jessie Hughes and Johnathan Dye.

Russell joins his grandparents, Duane and Helen Weir and Norcita Seals. He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, and friends.

As were Russell's wishes, cremation has taken place. A time to honor and celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
