I am a nearly lifelong resident of Jefferson County, being born in Winfield and moving to the Batavia/Libertyville area in 1961.  A graduate of Fairfield Community Schools and have worked in the Fairfield and S.E. Iowa area all of my life.  I am married to Mary (Hammes) and we are parents to two sons.  Recently retiring from fulltime employment, I now enjoy my volunteer work at several organizations, especially as current Chairman at the Maasdam Barns.  As a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, I became familiar with the Cranston Family Funeral Home as they helped families at a time of loss.  I am happy to be a part of the caring staff.
