Deb lived in Van Buren County all of her life.  She spent my early years in Stockport, IA before moving to Birmingham and her husband, Wendell still calls it home.  They have one son, Michael and his wife Rhonda, as well as three grandkids and a grandson-in-law.  She served on the Birmingham City Council for 8 years as well as being a member of many town committees.  Her favorite time was decorating the city park for the holidays.  She loved living in rural Iowa and truly enjoyed her time working with the staff at Cranston Family Funeral Home.

Deb passed away on June 16, 2024 and her presence is deeply missed.  She exemplified what we look for in a coworker.  She cared for the families we served and cared for the staff at the funeral home.

She was more than just an employee, she was our friend.
