Ryan was born and raised in Richland, Iowa; he attended Buena Vista University and graduated with a degree in Management. After spending a few years in the manufacturing industry, he decided he wanted to pursue a career where he could utilize his real passion of helping people. He studied Mortuary Science at DMACC and received his Funeral Director’s license in Iowa in 2012.

Ryan believes that death is a life changing, emotional event and giving the best possible funeral experience is key to starting the grief process. He feels that helping people after the death of a loved one is exactly what he is meant to be doing and gives him a fulfilling career.

Ryan and his wife, Erin, have two children- Hailey and Collin that keep them very busy. When they’re not busy with multiple sports per season or 4H; the family enjoys camping and traveling.
